Using Compact Flash cards in the Acer n50 PDA
Some customers have reported problems using the Elan's CF cards (and CF cards from other manufacturers) in the Acer n50 Windows Mobile 5 PDA. The symptoms are that the card does not appear to be detected - there is no 'happy beep' and the card cannot be accessed. This PDA has a CF slot fitted 'backwards' meaning that the CF card must be inserted back-to-front for it to be work. Unfortunately the card can feel like it is correctly inserted when put in with the front facing forward, which can be very confusing for users.
If the card is inserted the correct way around, i.e. with the back of the card facing the front of the PDA, it should work fine.
