Installation Instructions

To install the U111 put the supplied CD-ROM into your CD drive and plug the U111 into a free USB slot. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

If you do not have the CD-ROM disc that came with your U111 (and contains the drivers) you will need to download the drivers now. The installation process is much the same, but you will need to unzip the drivers into a folder on your computer.

The screen on your PC might not look exactly the same as on our screen-shots - this can happen if your setup is slightly different to our test PC. Installing with different Aircard models is very similar to installing with an 850. Installing a Merlin U630 is very similar to installing with a Merlin U530.

Which cards are supported in the U111-530/630?

The U111 supports the following 16-bit cards ONLY :

It does not support memory cards or ANY 32-bit (Cardbus) cards.

How do I know what driver version I have installed?

The driver version can be determined by opening the Device Manager and selecting the properties for the "U111 USB PC-Card Reader" device (right click and slect "Properties") :

To determine the version of the actual device driver, you must click on the "Driver Details..." button. You will then be presented with the file version of the kernel device driver for the hardware.
