Using the U132/U142 Card Readers in Mac OSX

Using the U142 in MAC
This driver will work with the U132 and U142 hardware. It does not support the Option 'Noizomi' card models, i.e. Option cards with serial numbers starting with a G or an N are not supported in a U142 with this driver.

Please note :
- Version 1.1.0 supports Power PC architecture and Intel based Mac systems
- This driver has not yet been tested with all 3G cards that work in the U132. It is known to work fully with Option cards with serial numbers starting QL and RC and has been partly tested with other models including the Sierra Wireless AC595.
- The driver is known not to work at present with cards manufactured by Option that include integrated Wireless LAN
- Power management has not yet been implemented; problems caused by sleep and wake can be worked around by removing the USB cable from the U132 and plugging it back in.
- You will need MAC drivers for your datacard in addition to the above driver for the U132/U142 adapter. These can usually be obtained from your operator or the card manufacturer.
- This driver was developed on MAC O/S 10.4 and has not been tested on 10.5, however we believe it should work in 10.5 as there are no changes related to the way in which multiple endpoints for USB are implemented.
