Known Issues
I am using more than one USBpulse100 unit stacked together, and after a few days it stopped working
I am using Windows XP. Apparently only one of the pulse devices is detected in Device Manager.
We are not sure what causes this to happen, but we have observed it once in our test lab. The following steps fix the problem:
- Uninstall all USBpulse drivers:
- Unplug the USB pulse units
- Go to Device Manager
- Select 'View' and 'Show hidden devices'. This will show you all installed devices, even those not plugged in, so you will be able to see the USBpulse devices - look for a "Silicon Laboratories CP210x USB to UART Bridge" (This is the device used to present the pulse to the system as a COM port).
- Right click and select 'uninstall'.
- Reinstall driver for USBpulse hardware. (Double-click on the file CP210xVCPInstaller.exe to install
- Plug in USBpulse100 hardware. The new hardware wizard will start, and you will need to install both devices in the pulse again.
It is not necessary to remove and reinstall the application software, which should work fine once the pulses have been reinstalled.
